TruthScape Skill Secrets - Herblore - The Best Methods for Obtaining Herbs Theres no two ways around it: if you want to train Herblore, you gotta have herbs! Fortunately, RuneScape provides a veritable wealth of methods for obtaining the herbs you need for your potions and other Herblore products, ranging from the usual to, well, the rather unusual. J There are two primary methods for obtaining herbs: getting them as drops in combat and growing them using the Farming skill. Of these, combat is probably the most popular, and so thats where I begin in this section, by showing you the best monsters for getting herbs, and my preferred methods for getting them fast. Farming is the next most popular method of getting herbs, and while this obviously isnt a guide to that skill, I decided to include a very brief herb farming miniguide here. It provides basic information on herb farming, gives advice on what to grow and how to get seeds and other materials, and suggests routes for harvesting and replanting your herbs quickly. Combat and Farming are both excellent methods, but there are also other ways that some players may prefer to explore, either instead of these or in addition to them; these are the subject of my final subsection. I provide tips on how to understand the herblore market when buying herbs from other players. I also show you how to get NPCs to grow herbs for you on the island of Miscellania, introduce you to the sinister chest, discuss the macaw and its useful special ability, and cover some more obscure methods that you may find interesting. I conclude this section with separate discussions of collecting jungle herbs, as well as non-herb primary ingredients such as star flowers and nightshade.
