TruthScape Monster Secrets - Aviansies, the Perfect Magic/Ranged Training Monster Mention the God Wars Dungeon, and what usually comes immediately to mind are the nasty, high-level boss monsters, and cool equipment like the godsword and the Armadyl and Bandos armor sets. The dungeon, however, holds some other attractions, including a few little-known secrets. One of these is a creature that I have discovered is arguably the single best monster for training both Ranged and Magic in the game: aviansies. How good are these monsters? Well, how does making 500k or more of profit and 30k+ of Ranged XP per hour sound? Or 175k of profit and 35k+ Magic XP per hour? Even better, how about getting these rewards fighting a monster that isnt very dangerous, in a quiet, noob-free location, where you dont even get random events? Its all true, and in this guide, I show you how to do it. I begin with an introduction and overview of aviansies, and a discussion of recommended quests, skill levels and equipment for my methods. I describe the aviansies themselves, and analyze their drops and the cost of fighting them so you can see how lucrative they are to fight. I then move on to discuss various strategy issues and tradeoffs in fighting aviansies, and provide you with important tips and suggestions. I also describe how to exploit other monsters in the God Wars Dungeon to help you increase the number of drops you get in a given amount of time. From there I move onto the specifics of fighting aviansies. I tell you how best to get to the dungeon and show you where to fight, and then describe three related methods for fighting. The first is ranging one aviansie at a time without prayer, which is a good place to start for someone new to these monsters. The second method uses prayer and poisoned bolts to greatly increase drop rates. Finally, the last method shows you how to mage aviansies, getting decent XP without wasting a lot of moneyor dying of boredom! J NOTE: Jagex also seems to use the word aviantese to refer to these creatures collectively. I am not sure if this is what they meant the correct plural of aviansie to be, or if it refers to their race or an older race before them or what. At any rate, in the game the monsters are named aviansie so this is the name I use here.
