[ Santa: Santa Hat.

[ Santa Hat: A red Santa Claus hat with white trim and a white pompom. This is a rare that was originally given away to players on Christmas Day 2002.

[ Saph / Sapph: Sapphire.

[ Sara: Saradomin.

[ Saradomin: The main “good” god in RuneScape. Contrast to Guthix and Zamorak.

[ Saradomin Godsword: A godsword made by attaching a Saradomin hilt to a godsword blade. Its special attack gives the wielder hitpoints equal to 50% of damage done (minimum 10) and prayer points equal to 25% of damage done (minimum 5). Abbreviated SGS.

[ Saradomin Hilt: A godsword hilt that is attached to a godsword blade to make the Saradomin godsword.

[ Scimmy: Scimitar.

[ Scimitar: A curved sword, similar to a longsword, that balances strength and attack speed. The dragon scimitar is a particularly popular weapon in member worlds, while the rune scimitar is more often seen in free (non-member) play.

[ SDFU: Shut da f--- up. Variation of STFU.

[ Seers: Seers’ Village.

[ Seers’ Village: An important town in north-central RuneScape, known especially as a center for woodcutters; often abbreviated “Seers”. Often used interchangeably with Camelot (“Cammy”) which is nearby.

[ SGS: Saradomin Godsword.

[ Shard: Godsword Shard.

[ Shilo: Shilo Village. Located on the island of Karamja.

[ Skill: Any of the basic character attributes the describes the character’s abilities in different areas. Generally divided into combat skills such as Attack, Strength, Defence, Mage and Ranged; and non-combat skills like Fishing, Woodcutting, Cooking and Herblore.

[ Skiller: 1. A pure skiller. 2. A regular player character who trains non-combat skills in addition to combat skills; see main.

[ Skimmy: Scimitar.

[ Slay: Slayer.

[ Slayer: A secondary combat skill that requires players to kill prescribed numbers of monsters using special methods and equipment.

[ Smith: Smithing.

[ Smithing: The skill that encompasses smelting ores into metal bars and creating items such as armor and weapons from those bars.

[ Souls: Soul runes. These runes are used for high-level spells, including teleport other and advanced combat spells.

[ Spec: Special attack.

[ Sq: Square (usually square shield).

[ Square: Square shield.

[ SS: Saradomin sword. Not to be confused with the Saradomin godsword.

[ Staking: Dueling for stakes, meaning gambling items or gold. Contrast to funning.

[ STFU: Shut the f--- up. An unfortunately common expression in RuneScape. Also seen as SDFU.

[ Str: Strength level. See Strength.

[ Strength: One of the basic melee combat skills; its level determines how much damage a character does upon hitting an opponent.

[ Sup: 1. Super. Most often used in discussing potions, such as super restore potions, super strength potions and so forth. 2. What’s up? A friendly greeting.

[ Super Anti: Super-antipoison potion.

[ Swordies: Swordfish. A common fish that heals 14 hitpoints. The best food available in the non-member version of the game.
