The TruthScape Glossary of RuneScape Terms and Slang - P [ P / (p): 1. Poison or poisoned. Normally appears a suffix in an item description. 2. Prayer. Especially when used in the phrase p pot. [ (p+): Extra strong poison. Normally appears a suffix in an item description. [ (p++): Super strong poison. Normally appears a suffix in an item description. [ P2P: Pay to Play. [ Party Hat: Colored paper hats that can be worn on the head. These are the most famous rare items in the game; they came out of Christmas crackers, holiday items given away in the game on Christmas Day 2001. Available in purple, white, yellow, green, red and blue. Also see Rare. [ Pay to Play: The members only, subscription version of RuneScape, usually abbreviated P2P. May also be used as an adjective to describe a member character or feature for members only. Contrast to Free to Play. [ P Ess: Pure essence. [ Phat: Party Hat. [ Pick: Pickaxe. The primary item of gear for the Mining skill. [ PK: See PKing. [ PKer / PKers: Player killer. A player who engages in PKing. May refer either to the current state of a player when engaging in such activity, or to a character that prefers player killing as a primary mode of gameplay. [ PKing: Player killing. Generic term referring to player versus player (PvP) combat in the game, as opposed to players fighting monsters (PvM). [ Plate: Platemail. [ Platemail: Generally the strongest type of armor in the game (provides the best defence). Many different types are available, with rune plate being the most common among higher-level players. Usually refers to the body armor piece, but may also refer to leg plate or other items. [ Player Killer: See PKer. [ Player Killing: See PKing. [ Player Moderator: A RuneScape player entrusted with the ability to perform limited game moderation. They always appear with a silver crown next to their names; note that they are not Jagex employees. Contrast to F Mod and J Mod. [ Pl0x: Leetspeak version of please. [ Pls / Plz: Please. [ P Mod: Player Moderator. [ POH: Player owned house. General term for the personal spaces owned by any player who trains the Construction skill. [ Pot / Pots: Potions. [ Potion: Liquid in a vial created using the Herblore skill. Most potions raise skill levels temporarily; some are used for quests, for poisoning weapons, or have other special effects. [ Potter: A player (especially a PKer) who uses potions in combat. Often used derisively. [ Pot Up: To drink potions, especially in preparation for combat. [ P Pot: Prayer restore potion. [ Pray: Prayer. May also refer to use of the prayer skill. [ Prayer: A combat support skill that allows players to temporarily improve their defensive or offensive capabilities. [ Pure: A player character that has been trained to selectively raise certain skills while neglecting others. This is most commonly done in order to maximize the characters actual power for its combat level, giving an advantage in PKing and dueling. Also see main and pure skiller. [ Pure Essence: Essence is the raw material from which runes are made using the Runecrafting skill. Pure essence is a higher grade from which both basic and higher level members only runes can be made, unlike regular essence, which is usually called just rune essence. [ Pure Skiller: A player character that only raises non-combat skills; usually level 3 or close to there. See level 3 and skiller. [ Purple: A purple Party Hat. [ PvM: Player versus monsters. Refers to combat between players and computer-generated monsters; contrast to PvP. [ PvP: Player versus player. Refers to combat between players, also known as player killing (PKing). Contrast to PvM. [ Pwned: A leetspeak variation on Owned.
