[ M: Abbreviation for a million, generally preceded by another number when referring to large amounts of gold; for example, 20M means 20,000,000 gold.

[ M8: Mate.

[ Mage: 1. A magic log or something made from one. 2. The Magic skill. 3. A player or character using magic, especially for combat.

[ Magic: An important skill, used for both combat and a variety of other purposes in the game.

[ Main: 1. The primary character owned by a player who also has other characters, such as a pure. 2. A “regular” player character, usually with balanced skill levels, as contrasted to a pure.

[ Mask: Halloween Mask.

[ Maul: 1. Granite maul. A popular weapon among mid-level players. 2. Obsidian maul. One of the many obsidian objects from the TzHaar city.

[ Maxed: Used to describe a skill that has hit its maximum unenhanced level, that is, 99.

[ Med: Medium helmet.

[ Meh: 1. My. (Sometimes sarcastic or joking.) 2. An expression of boredom, discontent or ambivalence.

[ Mil: Million. Generally refers to gold pieces.

[ Minds: Mind runes. Used for beginner combat spells.

[ Mine: 1. A mine where mining rocks are located. 2. Mining level. See Mining.

[ Mining: A basic resource extraction skill used to obtain ores for refining and smithing into weapons and armor, as well as gems and certain other items.

[ Misc: 1. Miscellaneous. 2. Miscellania. An island in far northwestern RuneScape.

[ Mith: Mithril.

[ Mithril: A dark blue metal, third highest in terms of level and cost of the regular RuneScape metals (below adamant and above steel and black). Used to make armor, weapons, arrows and other items.

[ MMORPG: Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. RuneScape is an example of an MMORPG.

[ Mod: Moderator. See F Mod, J Mod and P Mod.

[ MOM: Mysterious Old Man. A recurring RuneScape character, encountered primarily in random events and quests.

[ Msg: Message.
