The TruthScape Glossary of RuneScape Terms and Slang - C

[ C / (c): Cooked. Normally used when buying or selling cooked fish.

[ Camelot: A common teleport location near Camelot Castle and the town of Seer’s Village. This name, and its abbreviation “Cammy”, are often used interchangeably with Seers Village.

[ Cammy: Camelot.

[ Camo: Refers to the camouflage clothing items that players can get from the Drill Sergeant random event.

[ Cash: Refers to someone who is buying something with gold (as opposed to trading items) or a seller requesting a gold-only purchase.

[ Castle Wars: A team-based “capture the flag” minigame where players representing the gods Saradomin and Zamorak battle and attempt to retrieve the opponent’s standard and return it to their base. The winning team receives tickets that can be turned in for simple prizes.

[ Cav: Cavalier.

[ Cavalier: A hat that can be obtained randomly from treasure trails; cavaliers come in three colors - black, dark and tan.

[ CB: Combat or Combat level.

[ CBA: Can’t be arsed. A British (I believe) expression meaning “can’t be bothered”.

[ Cbow: Crossbow. Also seen as xbow.

[ Chain: Chainmail.

[ Chainmail: Body armor made from interlinked rings; it is generally inferior to plate armor, except that the dragon chain (“d chain”) is the best dragon body armor (since there is no dragon plate at present).

[ Chaoses: Chaos runes. Runes used for mid-level combat and other spells.

[ Chinchompa: A monster that can be captured using the Hunter skill and then used as a Ranged weapon.

[ Chin: Chinchompas.

[ Choob: A variation on Noob that is most often used to insult higher level players by saying they are behaving like lower level ones.

[ Christmas Cracker: A holiday item given out to players on Christmas Day 2001. Using the cracker on another player gave one player a random item and the other a Party Hat. Christmas crackers are now one of the most valuable rares in the game.

[ Clue: Clue scroll.

[ Clue Scroll: A scroll of parchment obtained as a random drop from certain monsters that allows a player to begin a treasure trail.

[ Con: Construction.

[ Construction: A skill that lets players build their own houses that can include a variety of features. Notorious for requiring a great deal of money and/or resources to raise.

[ Cook: Cooking level. See Cooking.

[ Cooking: The skill that lets players prepare food, which in RuneScape is used to heal damage, and in certain cases, provide other benefits.

[ Cosmics: Cosmic runes. Runes that are mainly used for enchanting jewellery and other items.

[ Cracker: Christmas Cracker.

[ Craft: Crafting.

[ Crafting: A skill that permits characters to create a wide variety of items, including jewellery, armor, glass items and more.

[ Crystal Key: A key that opens a crystal chest in a building at Taverly; the chest rewards the player with an uncut dragonstone and sometimes additional loot. It is formed by joining a “loop half” key and a “teeth half” key.

[ CS: Customer support.

[ CW: Castle Wars.
