The RuneScape World 2 Trading Survival Guide - Overview Trading Location Map

As I mentioned in my overview of the World 2 marketplace, the large variety of items traded in World Falador has led to the development of dozens of specific trading locations. There are no markings or other indications of which goods are traded where within the game itself, so it can be very hard for those who are not experienced at trading in World 2 to figure out where particular items are exchanged.

To help you find the right place to buy and sell, I created a trading location map, which I have put online in two versions: the smaller overview map on this page, and the larger detail map on the page that follows. The background of the map was created from over 120 actual screenshots that encompass most of World 2 Falador. These screenshots were masked, combined and blended manually in Photoshop, a process taking many hours, and cleaned up to remove artifacts and glitches. Finally, I overlaid them with colored “clouds” and text labels to identify specific trading zones.

The overview map below gives you a high-level “at a glance” view of the World 2 Fally marketplace. The trading locations are color coded as follows:

  • Orange: Ranging gear and ammunition.

  • Yellow: Maging equipment and runes.

  • Red: Dragon armor and weapons.

  • Cyan: Rune armor and weapons.

  • Khaki (Greenish Brown): Barrows sets.

  • Green: Miscellaneous armor and weapons.

  • Pink: God Wars Dungeon armor and weapons.

  • Blue: Treasure trail items.

  • Purple: Crafting materials and products.

  • Green/Yellow: Herbs and seeds.

  • Magenta: Food.

  • Gray: Rares.

Since this is an overview map, I have not shown where in each region specific subsets of equipment are traded (such as the designated spots for each of the six Barrows sets.) Likewise, the map doesn’t contain lists of specific items traded in each area. See the detail map for, well, more details. J

The World 2 trading overview map can be found in Figure 52.

Figure 52: World 2 Marketplace Overview Map

An overview of the World 2 Falador trading marketplace. This is a “small” version of my more detailed map; see the article text for information and notes about the map and how it was made.

Some additional notes on the map:

  • You may notice that the perspective differs for various buildings and objects. This is because the game window represents a 2D projection of the RuneScape 3D world, and whenever you move, the projection changes. Thus, a wall looks bigger standing next to it than when far away, but you can see more of the wall when farther away than next to it. These changes make piecing together a map of this type extremely difficult and time-consuming.

  • There’s a farming patch in Falador Park, where I currently have a magic tree planted; within the game you’ll only see whatever you personally have planted there. The guy in purple you see everywhere is me. Naturally, I show up in every screenshot, though I edited myself out of many of them.
