TWIRP Weekly Winners and Losers (2008/05/05) In this section of the weekly TWIRP report I list the biggest winners and losers of the week, meaning the items and indexes that gained and lost the most on a percentage basis. If you are not familiar with TWIRP please refer to the TWIRP Quick Guide. Top ten item winners of the week:

I already discussed the super weapon poison situation in my overview discussion. In my opinion, what people are doing there is tantamount to bug abuse, and I would expect Jagex to take action quickly to correct this problem. (Of course, they wont fix the underlying problems with the Grand Exchange that cause players to do this, but thats a rant for another time.) Next in the winners list we have... butter. It was 41 gp when TWIRP started and is now near 400 gp. Why? Simple: its a royal pain in the behind to make, but you need it for baked potatoes. With other good-healing foods soaring in value, players want to make tuna potatoes and they need butter. You can also see several other food and potion items among the winners. It was quite clearly a good week for fishermen (and fisherwomen, of course), and a bad week for anyone looking to buy supplies. Gems also had a nice uptick in value.
