TWIRP Weekly Winners and Losers (2008/03/10) In this section of the weekly TWIRP report I list the biggest winners and losers of the week, meaning the items and indexes that gained and lost the most on a percentage basis. If you are not familiar with TWIRP please refer to the TWIRP Quick Guide. Top ten item winners of the week:

I have to admit being amused at seeing an herb seed at the top of the winner list this week, though its no surprise why it is there: just look at #3, #4 and #7. Big boss hunters use lots of Sara brews, and this is dragging up everything associated with that potion. It seems that after weeks of dumping toadflax seeds, people suddenly realized that at around 100 gp each, they were practically free! So now they are buying them, and who knows where it will stop. To be honest, though, I really do think the entire toadflax/nest/brew market is way overheated and will take a big correction once the excitement over CoinShare dies down. This same interest in God Wars is why ranging potions and diamonds are also on the list. Its easier to understand the presence of diamonds if you know that #12 on the winners list this week was diamond bolts (e), a popular form of ammunition for boss killing. The notable loser for this week is, of course, the Bandos godsword. Reports I have read suggest that the Bandos bosses are being swarmed by teams on nearly every worldyet this doesnt explain the drop in price, because other Bandos items actually stabilized this week after several weeks of declines. No, the real reason for the drop is that Jagex loosened the trade restrictions on that item. Why? Nobody knows, any more than they know why it wasnt allowed to trade freely before. There werent any big winners or losers among the indexes, which is a good sign of the relative stability of the market. Farmers did well despite rising herb seed prices, while the losers show combat-related affordability taking the top three spots, while Barrows continues to slump.
