Analysis

Most of the winning items are there for the same reasons as last week: either due to Summoning, or Grand Exchange changes. Limestone bricks and potatoes are recovering from price controls; bronze bars, sand and guam leaf are Summoning seconds. Raw chompies are an ironic presence here; I’ve been complaining for weeks that Jagex had restricted their maximum price to 90 gp, and the company finally let them trade freely—the same week it put out a quest that has unlimited 85 gp raw chompies as one of its reward. Doesn’t make any sense to me, how about you?

The losers are nearly all seeds, as you can obviously see. As mentioned earlier, this does not bode well for any potential minigame that increases the seed supply.

Don’t be deceived by the big rise in herb drop value, as it is distorted by large gains in low-value herbs (despite the weighting system.) Many high-level herbs continued to go down in price. There were few other big winners, with gem drops recovering from a big hit last week.

And the losing indexes.. herb seeds again. Not much to say there, other than: when will it stop? Barrows is also there due to corrections in prior big increases in rune and armor prices. Also, while it didn’t make the list because of all the seed prices tanking, bolt racks went down almost 20% this week for reasons I cannot ascertain.
