TWIRP Skill Indexes Report and Analysis (2008/03/17) This section of the report highlights the weekly results for the skill-based indexes. There are two different types of indexes tracked here: composite indexes broken down by level (which include all skills), and indexes by skill type (which include all levels). For more details on these indexes, please see TWIRP Skill Indexes; if you are not familiar with TWIRP as a whole, please refer to the TWIRP Quick Guide before proceeding. Skill Composite Yield (Low-Level)
[TWIRP-S(l)]: 96.5 -0.8% q
This week we see a divergence in skill yield by level, with high-level skillers doing better than mid-levels, who in turn outperformed low-levels. I think this is largely being driven by demand for better food items, potions and similar products. Construction Affordability (TWIRP-S-CONa):
83.6 -3.8% q
No really big winners among the skills this week, just steady gains mainly in those skills providing supplies needed for combat: Fishing, Cooking, Farming and Herblore. Hunter also did well on increasing chinchompa prices. Losers were Construction, on rising supply costs, prayer, on increasing dragon bone prices (likely due to fewer dragon hunters), and Runecrafting. Pure essence went up in price only slightly, but law runes dropped 8% to rather low prices, due largely to the huge numbers of them coming from the new Stronghold of Player Safety.
