TWIRP Skill Indexes Report and Analysis (2008/03/03) This section of the report highlights the weekly results for the skill-based indexes. There are two different types of indexes tracked here: composite indexes broken down by level (which include all skills), and indexes by skill type (which include all levels). For more details on these indexes, please see TWIRP Skill Indexes; if you are not familiar with TWIRP as a whole, please refer to the TWIRP Quick Guide before proceeding. Skill Composite Yield (Low-Level)
[TWIRP-S(l)]: 97.0 -0.3% q
All skillers gave back the gains of last week. Just as mid-levels and high-levels did better than low-levels last week, they also did worse this time around. Construction Affordability (TWIRP-S-CONa):
85.5 -2.6% q
Once again, it was not a good week for skillers overall. Cooking was hardest hit, as raw fish prices increased while cooked fish prices went down; I strongly suspect that this is just a lag effect and will correct next week. Yet despite this hit on Cooking, the Fishing index was mostly neutral, because raw sharks dropped by a good amount. Farming and Herblore gave up ground due to reduced interest in potions, and Runecrafting continues to be harmed by lowering rune prices. The only notable gainer this week was Hunter, which has been helped mainly by rising chinchompa prices, and also some renewed interest in dragon implings.
