TWIRP Skill Indexes Report and Analysis (2008/02/04)

This section of the report highlights the weekly results for the skill-based indexes. There are two different types of indexes tracked here: composite indexes broken down by level (which include all skills), and indexes by skill type (which include all levels). For more details on these indexes, please see TWIRP Skill Indexes; if you are not familiar with TWIRP as a whole, please refer to the TWIRP Quick Guide before proceeding.

Skill Indexes by Level

Skill Composite Yield (Low-Level) [TWIRP-S(l)]: 99.4 +0.2% p
Skill Composite Yield (Mid-Level) [TWIRP-S(m)]: 99.4 -1.0% q
Skill Composite Yield (High-Level) [TWIRP-S(h)]: 100.2 -1.1% q

The levels continue their convergence trend from last week, with all three skills now very close to their original 100 levels!

Skill Indexes by Type

Construction Affordability (TWIRP-S-CONa): 96.6 -0.9% q
Cooking Yield (TWIRP-S-COOKy): 91.7 -4.9% q
Crafting Yield (TWIRP-S-CRFTy): 99.9 -0.7% q
Farming Yield (TWIRP-S-FARMy): 114.8 -0.2% q
Firemaking Affordability (TWIRP-S-FMa): 112.2 -0.1% q
Fishing Income (TWIRP-S-FISHi): 99.7 +1.0% p
Fletching Yield (TWIRP-S-FLTy): 98.2 -4.0% q
Herblore Yield (TWIRP-S-HERBy): 109.2 +0.5% p
Hunter Income (TWIRP-S-HUNTi): 102.0 +1.6% p
Magic Affordability (TWIRP-S-MAGICa): 98.2 +0.2% p
Mining Income (TWIRP-S-MNGi): 98.7 -1.0% q
Prayer Affordability (TWIRP-C-PRAYa): 110.0 -0.2% q
Runecrafting Yield (TWIRP-S-RCy): 98.1 -1.5% q
Slayer Yield (TWIRP-C-SLAYy): 94.0 +2.3% p
Smithing Yield (TWIRP-S-SMITy): 99.1 +0.8% p
Thieving Income (TWIRP-S-THVi): 94.0 -1.1% q
Woodcutting Income (TWIRP-S-WCi): 85.6 +0.2% p

Big difference from last week, when there were many winners and losers; this time, things are a bit more “mellow”, though most indexes went down slightly. Slayer benefitted from increasing drop values and a moderation in supply costs, and Fishing and Hunter posted slight gains. The big loser was Cooking, due almost entirely to increases in raw material costs.
