Using the Creature Creation Room for Secondary Ingredients Blue Dragon Scales and Dragon Scale Dust

In my overview of methods for getting secondary ingredients, I described in general terms how to get each of 27 seconds used to make potions in Herblore. Of these, I have identified an even dozen that I feel warrant more detailed discussion. There are several reasons for this: they may be more important items to the skill; getting them might involve a special process; there might be several alternatives that I felt were worth comparing; or there could be some combination of these factors.

Each topic contains a full explanation of the worthwhile methods you can choose from to get these secondary ingredients, with a focus on the ones that are most efficient. My analysis includes timed tests that I have done of competing procedures to determine which are optimal in various circumstances.

In addition to using these techniques to get secondary ingredients for training, you may find that some are potentially good ways of making money as well. Of course, most are rather tedious and provide no XP—so I don’t care much for them myself—but then, that’s why getting them pays so well! J If you’ve ever scoffed at someone who said making 250k per hour in RuneScape was easy, this section will change your mind.

My method descriptions and tests do not make use of efficiency enhancements like beasts of burden, or the “35 in 28” inventory item trick. I did, however, do them all on World 2 to ensure consistency in respawn times.
