Using Unfinished Potions to Powerlevel, Make Money, or Train Economically Low-Level Herblore Training Recommendations (Levels 3 to 37)

I’ve thrown a lot of training ideas at you in this section on training techniques and strategies. And later in the guide you’ll also find a lot of discussion of a variety of ways of obtaining herbs and secondary ingredients. With so many choices, I realize it can be hard to sort through all the options and try to figure out which ones you should use. So, to help you get started, I developed a set of Herblore training plans that will show you examples of what you can do at various stages in the skill.

There are four plans, which consist of detailed suggestions on what you should do at low, medium, high and very high levels. Each focuses on five main areas: leveling other skills to enable Herblore training; completing quests; obtaining herbs; training using standard potions; and alternative training methods. In each area I analyze the available options and suggest ones that you might find appropriate.

Here are a few important notes about these plans:

• These are only suggestions, not prescriptions to be followed religiously. Don’t assume that because I list an activity here that it is necessarily the best for you. Instead, use this as a guideline to develop your own training routine.
  
  
• These plans are not exhaustive. Don’t assume that if something isn’t listed here that I am saying it isn’t worth doing.
  
  
• The best training options change over time. Be sure to stay current on the market, and adjust your training as prices of Herblore ingredients and products fluctuate.
  
  
• My plans assume balanced players. Thus, in describing how to train low levels of Herblore, I assume you are generally low-level in most other skills as well. I also assume that you’ll increase your other levels as you train Herblore. If your levels aren’t balanced, you’ll need to adjust to suit your needs.
  
  
• These plans are oriented towards cost-effective training. If your primary focus is powerleveling, these plans will be too slow for you; similarly, but in the opposite direction, if you only want to make Herblore products for your own use, then again you won’t find these plans terribly useful.
