Obtaining Special Ingredients

In preceding sections we’ve looked at methods of getting nearly all of the items needed for Herblore, including herbs, vials of water, coconut milk and dozens of secondary ingredients. So what’s left? Not much, as it happens, but there are a couple of special ingredients that we still need to cover. These aren’t herbs or seconds, but rather extra items that are used to make special Herblore products.

There are only two of these at the present time: swamp tar, which is used for making herb tars, and caviar/roe, used for barbarian potions. My guess, however, is that there will be more special items added in the future, since there seems to be a trend of late for Jagex to expand the Herblore skill with alternative products.
