Due to the different and perhaps controversial nature of this site, I am sure many readers will have questions about it (and myself). Here are some of the answers to questions that I anticipate; I will add to this as I receive other questions from readers.

General Site Questions

• Did you write all of the information on this site? Yes, all of the information is original material written by myself
• Is there any charge to use the site? No, it is completely free.
• Why are you running ads on this site? It costs money to host a web site, not to mention the dozens of hours of my time spent on writing and maintaining it. The ads pay very little (especially since I try to block the ones that pay well because they encourage cheating) but help offset my costs.
• When I visit your site I get tons of popup ads! You should get no more than one popup per day on TruthScape. If you are getting lots of these then you may have adware on your computer. Try using a good anti-spyware program to scan for and eliminate it. If you still get popups, please tell me.
• I saw an ad for a RuneScape cheat site / a site selling RuneScape gold! Do you condone breaking RuneScape rules? Not at all! I do not encourage anyone to break RS game rules, but I cannot control what ads are shown on all of my pages all the time. Please see this page for more details.

Questions about the Author

• Who are you? My name is Charles Kozierok. I am self-employed as a webmaster and online publisher, and also have a print book published.
• Do you play RuneScape? If so, for how long? I do play RuneScape on one account, which I’ve had since late 2005. Within the game I am known as Qeltar.
• How high level are you? What do you do in game? I am currently level 121 with a total level of about 1900. I am mainly a monster killer and skiller. You can look up my current stats here on the RuneScape hiscores.
• Why do you play RuneScape if you hate it? I don’t hate RuneScape, in fact I like the game very much, and can see what it has the potential to be. If I hated it I wouldn’t spend so much time trying to improve it and to help people play more safely and avoid scams.
• Why do you hate Jagex? I don’t hate Jagex either. I just want to see them make some long-overdue changes to help their game work better and eliminate some of the bad stuff that happens to RuneScape players.
• Have you ever been scammed? Yes, despite being a fairly smart adult player, and despite my awareness of the issues of scamming, I have fallen victim three times now. The first two were for small amounts, fortunately, and occurred when it was late, so I was tired and not paying attention. The third was for a substantial amount, and was something I should have known better than to fall for...
• Have you ever been lured? No... though some have tried.
